Both before and during graduate school, Dr. Bothe has been involved in numerous research projects at UCSF and CPMC. Studies include: comparative methodology for collecting personal health behavior data, adolescent perception of risk regarding sexual behaviors, and the impact of breast cancer on mothers and their adolescent children. Dr. Bothe has training in community mental health, hospital and medical settings, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, and mental health conditions. Dr. Bothe’s graduate dissertation examined the current status of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Dr. Bothe has also served as Counselor for the Middlebury at Mills College Language Program, an internationally known, intensive language immersion program.
